Stella Story

As a native of Anping, Hebei, silk screen is not just an industry for me, but a memory engraved in my DNA. As far as I can remember, every breath of air I breathe seems to be filled with the smell of silk screen. When I walk in the village and open a courtyard door, I can hear the loom clicking non-stop. In my memory, my grandfather started weaving silk screens with an old-fashioned manual loom. At that time, there was no advanced equipment, and his fingers were always stained with rust that could not be washed off. When I was a child, I always liked to squat next to the loom and watch my grandfather weave silk screens carefully. One by one, the iron wires turned into beautiful meshes in his hands like magic. I still remember that scene vividly.

Later, I was admitted to a university in Changchun. Although I left my hometown, there was always a complex in my heart, like a gentle and powerful thread, which closely connected me with my hometown. After graduating from university, I returned to Anping without hesitation and re-selected the wire mesh career, which seemed simple but made me feel close. Perhaps it was the local complex in my bones that made me feel that returning to my hometown to do something was the most practical and meaningful choice.

The days when I first started my business were really not easy at all. Because I didn’t have my own factory, I could only look for partners everywhere. I remember that when I first came into contact with foreign trade business, I encountered a lot of troubles. The order volume was small and the factory was unwilling to accept it; the MOQ was frighteningly high, and the price was always inappropriate. What I remember most is an engineering order from Saudi Arabia. In order to ensure the quality of the product, I went back and forth to many factories and compared the samples over and over again. As a result, the order was not completed in the end because the parameters of the goods did not match. I was really frustrated at the time, and even doubted whether I had chosen the wrong path.

But every time I think back to the trust that those customers have placed in me and my original intention to help the development of my hometown industry, I regain my courage. I told myself: “It doesn’t matter. There will always be some bumps on the road to growth. As long as you stick to it, you will always gain something.”

Slowly, I found that each customer has different needs. If I can tailor a suitable solution for them, it will not only help customers solve procurement problems, but also better promote the development of Anping’s local wire mesh industry. Isn’t this a particularly great thing? With this original intention, I am determined to start my own factory and put it into action step by step. From raw material procurement, product design, production and manufacturing, to inspection packaging and logistics export, I do every link myself and dare not be careless.

I often say to my customers: “Don’t worry, leave it to me!” Behind this simple sentence is my persistence in controlling the quality of each order and my sincere commitment to serving customers. I know that behind every order is the trust and expectations of customers, and I must never live up to this trust.

Fortunately, now I finally have my own factory, which can provide personalized services to customers more flexibly and efficiently. Whenever I see satisfied feedback from customers, I feel very proud – not only because I have completed the order, but also because I know that what I do is helping my hometown industry go global little by little. After all, our Anping wire mesh has a very large market share in the global market!
